Hospitality is a system.
So the work starts by understanding how the different parts of the business connect — from the moment someone is looking for a place to go, through the experience inside the venue, and what happens after they leave.
A visible problem is not always the real problem.
That's why I don't start by prescribing a solution.
I observe first.
The HGS approach
01 ObserveI look at the business from the outside — and from the inside, once we work together.
How is the venue found?
What does a potential guest see before deciding?
How does the digital experience begin?
What happens when they arrive?
What happens during the experience?
And what happens after they leave?
The objective is to understand the system before changing it.
02 AnalyseI look at how the different parts influence one another.
Demand.
Digital presence.
Guest experience.
Operations.
Menu.
Team.
Standards.
Retention.
Commercial performance.
The question is not simply: what is wrong?
It is:
Where is the real opportunity or constraint in the system?
03 PositionOnce the system is understood, I determine what needs attention first.
Not everything needs to be changed.
Some things should be corrected.
Some should be strengthened.
Some should be left as they are.
The priority is to work on the part of the system that can create the greatest impact.
04 ProposeThe proposal is built around what I actually found.
It defines:
What I found.
What I leave as is.
What goes first.
What it involves.
How much it costs.
What we will measure.
There is no predetermined solution.
The intervention follows the business.
05 ImplementThis is where the system becomes practical.
The objective is to connect the Digital Guest Experience with the Guest Experience.
A potential guest may be two blocks away, looking for the best coffee, lunch, dinner or accommodation.
The question is:
How do we reach them?
The Digital Guest Experience extends the physical Guest Experience — creating continuity before, during and after the visit.
This is where the three areas of HGS connect:
Visibility & Local Demand
How your venue is found online and how the Digital Guest Experience connects people with your business and creates continuity beyond the visit.
Campaigns & Retention
Paid campaigns that amplify demand and build stronger relationships with the people the venue has already reached, once the foundations are ready.
Menu Engineering & Operational Performance
Menu, workflow, recipes, standards and execution — making sure the business can consistently deliver the experience it is trying to create.
The principle is simple:
Fix the constraint before amplifying demand.
06 ReviewImplementation is not the end.
We look at what happened.
What changed?
What worked?
What didn't?
What did the business learn?
What should happen next?
The system is then adjusted based on what the business and its customers are telling us.
Observe → Analyse → Position → Propose → Implement → Review
That cycle continues.
Before any ongoing work begins, I start with a short Public Audit.
It's an outside look at how the venue currently appears to a potential customer.
No cost.
No commitment.
If there is a real opportunity to work together, we move into the Initial Engagement.
The first two weeks are at no cost.
They are about understanding the business properly before committing to ongoing work.
During this period, we work with access to your Google Business Profile and any information you choose to share, identify the real priorities, correct the foundations where necessary, and prepare the intervention.
Understand → Diagnose → Prepare → Correct foundations → Design and ready the intervention
At Day 14, I bring back what I found, what we changed, and a proposal for what should happen next.
If it makes sense for both sides, the work continues month to month, with no lock-in.
Let's start with a look at your venue.
